About Helen Flynn
I recently completed a BA(hons) in 'Character Creation + Special Effects' at the University of Hertfordshire. On this course
I gained a broad spectrum of knowledge + skills
relevant to the effects industry via both project work and industry experience. In my 2nd year I spent just under 6 months working in
a variety of effects houses including Solutions
Studios, Artisan Armour + the Harry Potter Creature Effects Dept. Work undertaken included life casting, moulding + casting in fibreglass,
silicone, foam and plaster, leather work, scenic art, set construction and finishing prosthetics.
I like sculpting, mould making and working with textiles though have work shop experience and am just as happy using a bandsaw. I
can sew and knit and paint and have taken a basic course in welding.
